I think this lyric was written to tell us that we should make this world a better place to live regardless of sex, nationality, or race. It told us not to start wars, reduce conflicts, and try to be more understanding. Because if we can do all of these, we sure can have a better place to live.

But today, it’s not people that we are scared of, actually it’s Natural Disaster. We can’t be warned, can’t prepare, and can’t stop it from happening. For me, I think this is ten times worse than any other disasters I’ve ever heard of.

Just these ten years alone, there were Tsunamis in Thailand and Japan, earthquakes in Haiti and New Zealand, floods in Thailand and USA. Of course, I’m so scared and depressed when I watch the news. Because it’s not like a raindrop that drops and gone when the sun shines, but these disasters took away human lives, the lives we once knew, and took away the other half of people who survived but have lost their loved ones.

I have just known a true meaning of ‘Post-Modern’ a few days ago. I mean I’ve heard of this word before, but just don’t care know what does it mean.

Post-Modern is like an era which the values of things are unclear. People used to use things because of their purposes, but Post-Modern people use things to send some ‘signs’ or to tell people ‘who they think they are’.

And yeah…Starbucks and Post-Modern are a perfect match.

Why a cup of Starbucks coffee costs a lot?

First of all, it has a story and we know that stories make brands unique. Starbucks uses its story to make itself a value-added brand.

And another reason why a cup of this plain coffee costs too much is that people don’t just drink it, but they want to look cool with a Starbucks’ cup in their hands.

That’s Post-Modern.
